The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the senior management team and will have primary responsibility for leading all financial functions including budgeting & forecasting, cash management and banking, profitability analysis , taxes and contract negotiations. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to ensure that company achieves profitable growth targets, manages cash flow budget, reduces costs, provides accurate financial information and develops a sustainable team of qualified employees within the accounting department. Job Description: • Develops and implements an annual Forecasting analysis & Budget in coordination with the company’s overall strategic business plan. • A/P, A/R, GL maintenance, and account reconciliations responsible for entering daily transactions, • Prepares financial statements • Manages all financial activities in the company. • Leads and develops a team to support company financial strategies and exceptional profitability. • Performs cost assessments / analyses to improve costs and cash flow opportunities, reduces expenses and manages inventory requirements. • Develops and implements financial training tools and processes, including tactical budget/reporting models and business opportunity analysis models • Creates a winning atmosphere by effectively communicating the financial strategy to all departments throughout the organization. • Develops and implements innovative programs which align individual and financial team compensation with company’s goals and strategic plans • Assesses finance and administrative staff to ensure the skills, staffing levels, structure, and training of resources is appropriate to meet aggressive budget goals, cost reduction initiatives, cash flow requirements and evolving business needs • Coordinates financial objectives with other functional departments of the company, most specifically with Sales and Operations. Qualifications: • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of • Finance Experience and 5+ years of successful management experience in the hospitality industry. • Candidates must have a proven track record of developing and effectively implementing financial strategies, business plans, forecasts and budgets, and achieving budget results • Candidates must have hands-on experience in recruiting/developing and leading a successful financial and administrative team • Candidates must have experience in establishing and building strong collaborative business partnerships with key industry players, such as suppliers, buyers, accountants. • Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge and experience implementing financial strategies • Candidates ideally have experience in creating and sustaining profitability and business results within a successful organization in the hospitality industry or real estate environment. • Candidates must exhibit effective time management skills and embody strong negotiating skills and capacity • Candidates must be willing to live in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize Compensation: • Compensation will be commensurate with candidate’s proven experience and track record. • Includes performance-based bonus incentive tied to growth in profitable revenue
